Okay, so, room decor is amazing, especially if you can D.I.Y! So for this week's diy, I wanted to share with you a spring 3D flower wall art!

Materials:
Glue (mod podge, hot glue, gluestick)
Canvas and frame
Fake flowers
Branches (optional)
Decorative paper
Scissors
Paint (optional)

NOTE: You can do this project with just about anything! Instead of the flowers in a vase, make an animal with it's facial features sticking out! (creepy)

Steps:
1) Print a vase template out, or free hand draw it:

2) Cut the template out and place it over your decorative paper. Trace it and cut it out.
3) Paint your canvas/frame (OPTIONAL)
4) After that dries, glue your vase on the canvas. Neatly arrange the flowers and branches so it's prepared for you when you glue them on.
5) Carefully glue the fake flowers and/or branches on top of the vase.
6) Let it dry and hang it up!

D.I.Y IT UP #5! Spring Edition

Hey, chewers! <3 Adeline (Riley) here
Happy first day of spring! <3 So I decided to share with you guys something spring themed. But, today I'm going to show you guys THREE D.I.Ys!!! ^.~ So without further a-do, let's get started! ^.~ derp

Ribbon Chandelier:

Materials:

Ribbon or tissue paper
Hot glue gun
String
Hula hoop (or any other solid circle that's stiff enough to hold everything in place)
Hole punch (Optional)

Steps:

1) Prepare your ribbon for gluing. To make a cute and fun ribbon style like the picture shown, just hole punch some holes in the ribbon. You can buy really cheap hole punchers that have designs on them for a couple bucks. If you're using tissue paper, cut neat strips to glue on.
2) Take your string or twine and wrap it around one end of the hula hoop several times. Hot glue the ends of the string on. Then, cross the string over to the other side and repeat. This gives you a string loop to hang it on something.
3) Hot glue your ribbon or tissue paper strips onto the hula hoop however you arrange them.
4) Hang your decoration somewhere to give a colorful POP!

Cute Flower Tree Painting Room Decor
Image result for Diy spring tree and flower painting

Materials:

Canvas
Tissue paper
Black paint
Paintbrush
Glue
(Tip: You can totally jazz up your painting by switching the colors of the paints and tissue paper to vibrant, crazy spring colors!)

Steps:

1) (If you want, you can go ahead and paint your canvas whatever style you want!) Paint the tree branches and stump. You can even create multiple trees if desired.
2) While it dries, scrunch up the tissue paper into little paper flowers. You can even go to the craft store and buy some cute flowers to hot glue on!
3) After the paint dries, glue on your scrunches of tissue paper.
4) Hang it up on the wall, and enjoy!

Mango Tart (This is a great spring recipe!)
Mango Tart

Ingredients
Crust:
  • 1.25 c. all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 c. confectioners’ sugar
  • 0.25 tsp. salt
  • 8 tbsp. cold butter (no substitutions)
  • 3 tbsp. ice water
Lime Pastry Cream:
  • 1 c. whole milk
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 0.33 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. butter (no substitutions)
  • 1 tsp. grated fresh lime peel
Fruit Topping:
  • 2 mangoes
  • 1 peeled slice kiwifruit (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare crust: In food processor with knife blade attached, combine flour, confectioners’ sugar, and salt; pulse until blended. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing until moist clumps form. Gather dough into ball; flatten into disk. Wrap disk in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm enough to roll, about 1 hour. (If chilled overnight, let dough stand 30 minutes at room temperature before rolling.)
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. On lightly floured surface, with floured rolling pin, roll disk into 11-inch round. Transfer dough round to 9" by 1" round tart pan with removable bottom . Press dough onto bottom and up side of pan. Trim dough level with rim of pan; discard trimmings. Refrigerate or freeze tart shell 10 to 15 minutes to firm dough slightly before baking.
  3. Line tart shell with foil and fill with pie weights or dry beans. Bake 20 minutes. Remove foil and weights, and bake about 15 minutes longer or until golden. (Cover rim of tart with foil if browning too quickly.) If center of crust puffs up during baking, gently press down with back of spoon. Cool in pan on wire rack, about 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare Lime Pastry Cream: In 2-quart saucepan, heat milk to simmering on medium. In small bowl, whisk yolks and granulated sugar until blended. Mix in cornstarch until smooth. While constantly beating with wire whisk, gradually pour about half of simmering milk into egg-yolk mixture. Pour egg-yolk mixture into remaining milk in saucepan and cook, whisking constantly to prevent lumping, until mixture boils and thickens, about 1 minute. Boil 1 minute, stirring. Remove saucepan from heat; stir in butter and lime peel. Transfer pastry cream to small bowl; cover surface directly with plastic wrap to prevent skin from forming, and refrigerate until cold, at least 1 hour.
  5. Spoon pastry cream into baked tart shell and spread evenly. Arrange mango slices on top; place kiwifruit slice in center. Remove tart from side of pan. Place tart, still on pan base, on serving plate. If not serving tart right away, cover and refrigerate up to 2 hours.

Bad news

Some bad news D:

I just wanted to discuss some terrible news with you all. Unfortunately, I will NOT be on the whole month of April. I may be on for two or three days in the month, but that will be all. I will not be posting as often due to the upcoming state tests I have to take, so that explains why I won't come on.

I'm very very very sorry. Please forgive me for not telling you this sooner. >.< But, I will promise you all something. After April comes May, so I'll make it all up by posting many, many posts throughout May.

For now, I'll post as much as I possibly can. Well, until next time, Chewers!

The Diary Series: Entry #2 (Final Entry)

3-2-14

Dear diary,

Well, nothing strange has happened today, so far. The day went quite quick, actually. I had my first four classes that were, once again, very boring. My first class was history, the second was reading, then there was writing, and my final class was chemistry. After attending those periods, I went to lunch, and sat at the table where my friends and I usually met. For some reason, I kept on looking at the same place where I was confronted by this handsome stranger I didn't know. I guess I just wanted to see him one last time.. or maybe it was the way he left me full with questions. Like, why would he want to see me specifically? What did he want from me? Who WAS he? But most importantly: why would someone want me to be careful? Wasn't I careful with my life already? I wish my questions could be answered, but unfortunately, they can't. I guess I'll have to make up some random answers so I'll stop worrying so much about this man and what he meant by "be careful."

The rest of the day flew by pretty quickly. My last three classes, which were art, Latin, and chorus, didn't bore me as much. They're classes I actually look forward to having at the end of the school day. After finally hearing the bell that told the students we were dismissed to go home, I hopped into my car and drove back to my house. Arriving at my house, I had nothing much to do except finish up my homework, do my daily exercises, and listen to some music. The next thing I knew, it was already night.

That was pretty much how my whole day went. Well, my days usually go like this every day. Anyways, I guess I should go to sleep now. It's getting pretty-

End of the entry.

So you guys must be confused now, I'm guessing.

Welcome to March!!

March!

(Oh my gosh, this post is so late!)

Hey guys! So today is the start of  March (OK, not really)! The first Month that begins, SPRING! I love Spring, so very much, because you can stop wearing bulky clothes....>.<  Anyway, I have a story for you, just a very short one, sorta like a Short Film. You should know, I'm new to writing stories, so if you have any feedback that could help, please feel free to tell me. :)

It was a frigid, silent March  night. Valerie and Melissa were having a sleepover at Melissa's house.  "Okay, girls, lights out" Melissa's mom said while turning all lights out.

Minutes later, Valerie went out the room to check if all lights were out, and everyone was asleep.

"Melissa" Valerie whispered loudly.

"Yeah" Melissa whispered

"All lights are out, coast is clear."

Melissa got out of bed, and walked out of the room. They both headed for the staircase.

"How are we supposed go down the stairs, y'know they creak, right?" Melissa whispered, worrying.

"Melissa....I thought you had a door in your bedroom that lead to the patio...." Valerie answered suspiciously.

"Oh yeah!" Melissa said as they both walked back to Melissa's bedroom. "Thanks for letting me know.."

"Valerie. Why do you even want to do this?" Melissa said concerned. "Why couldn't we just go to sleep, it's like 12 midnight."

"Exactly. Don't you ever feel the moment on a late night, and your'e just right their talking to your best friend?" Valerie grinned.

Melissa lowered her eyes at Valerie  while she opened the door to the patio.

"It's so windy." Valerie and Melissa whispered together.

Melissa and Valerie sat down on the beautiful  patio Melissa's Family just got this Spring. They had beautiful furniture to go along with it. It was absolutely perfect.

"Soo," Valerie said.

There was a break of silence. Their hair was flowing through their faces, because of the heavy wind.

"Valerie." Melissa said giggling, "I dare you to go inside the kitchen and grab us some food---and a sleeping bag"

"Are you crazy?" Valerie whispered loudly.  "You want me to sleep out here?!".

"No." Melissa paused. "I want us together to sleep out here"

"Hmm.." Valerie said. "Then together you must go in the kitchen with me."

Valerie and Melissa went back into Melissa's house. They had to risk this, but they went down the stairs, it creaked a lot, but it was rather quiet. They did not turn on the light, the stairs were already too risky. Melissa and Valerie grabbed loads and loads of food.  Although, Valerie had to go in the Hallway Closet to get the sleeping bags. They then, did not go back upstairs, but went out the Kitchen Door that led to the Backyard.

When Valerie got back, she spotted Melissa eating her Crackers. Valerie just smiled and laughed. Melissa and Valerie ate all sorts of Junk Food, until they just could not eat anymore.

"Valerie." Said Melissa.

"Yeah?" Valerie said yawning.

"Look at the stars." The stars glistened in their eyes.

"Melissa" Valerie whispered.

"Yeah?" Melissa said

"Goodnight."

The End

Haha, I hope you enjoyed that very corny story....

Finish the Story!

"Beep, beep, beep," the alarm clock rang obnoxiously and noisily in my ear. Another long day of school was ahead! I groaned and pulled myself out of the cozy, warm blankets. My feet hit the frigid, hard wood floors and-
"Creeee-aak," a sudden sound froze me and I gulped silently, as if a large ice cube was stuck in my throat. Quietly and slowly, I grabbed my white board and slipped under the covers. Suddenly, I was more awake then ever. After about 10 minutes of hiding, I realize I was being incredibly paranoid and silly. I decided it was just something that fell and hit my closet, perhaps a hanger.
"Ugh, now I'm 10 minutes late to school because of my stupid brain," I think as I walk to school.

Hey chewers! Adeline (Riley) here! <3
So I wanted to make a cool thingy ma jig on the writing tab. If you guys didn't know, today is PI DAY!!! Go ahead onto the homepage to read all about the PI-KU contest I made! <3 Anyways, I want you guys to go ahead and finish off the story. So in the comments, continue what happens next, and perhaps what that creaking noise is! <3 Love you guys to death, bye guys!

Btw, I am loving Usher's song: I Don't Mind xD
Shawty I don't mind....if you dance on a pole. ;-; xD Bye! <3333333

GIF SERIES+GIFS MAKE FRIENDSHIPS BETTER!

Hey Chewers! Adeline (Riley) here! <3
So I was reading Jessica's (Lily's) post today, and I actually was quite interested by her GIFS. Something my friends (from my old school) and I do is make GIFs, copy and paste them, and send them to each other. We do this everyday to keep in touch and remember us by. I actually have a powerpoint with 105 of them, and I actually have Lily's first and fifth one, and I flipped out. xD Idk why. Honestly.

Anyway, I decided to make, yet another, SERIES. This time it's a GIF series! And I'm actually sending this blog link to my dear friends:
Ashlynn
Bella
Tara
Lindsey
Bethany
Samantha

from my old school, so they can read all the posts and the GIFs I post. So, today I'm going to show you guys a couple:

Thanks for tuning in! <3 I love you guys, thanks so much for your support. And for this week's inspirational GIF:

Thanks, Lily for giving me this idea by me looking at your beautiful post. xD <333

The Writing Section!

Writing Section!

Okay! So, I've noticed that the staff really loves writing. And now, without further ado, I present to you (the staff) a new tab where you are free to write whatever you want! I hope you enjoy this writing tab as much as I do! (:

And for those of you who don't know where the tabs section is, it's right above the Fantage Chewing Club's Xat chat. Well, that's about it to this post. Once again, I hope you guys enjoy the tab writing section and I especially hope that you, readers, will enjoy the stories the staff and I will create in the future.

Until next time, Chewers!

The Diary Series: Entry #1

3-1-14

Dear diary,

Life is very hard for me right now. I can't tell anyone, because I have very few friends to tell, but I trust no one. I am shy and quiet, so that explains why I'm alone most of the time. So, for now, I'll just write in this dumb journal some random stranger gave me. He told me to take care of this journal. I didn't think much of it, since it was just a random stranger I didn't even know giving me this diary. I'll just have to do the good deed and care for it. For some reason, I look forward to writing what my personal life is like. I won't go into much detail this time, since nothing has happened to me.. yet. But my description for today will be brief.

So let's just focus on school, 'cause that's where it all started. I went to my first four classes, which were soooo boring, and after that, it was time to go eat at the cafeteria. At lunch, my little group of friends and I met up and sat at this table. We ate, laughed, and talked about stuff. Just when I was about to start up a conversation, something caught my eye. That's when I saw it. At first, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, and I refused to stare at what was trying to get my attention. But when I finally had the courage to look at what was gleaming at my way, there was a flashlight flickering on and off, on and off. It was coming from the entrance of the lunch room, behind a large trash can. Without thinking, I told my friends I'd be back, and stood up. I made my way behind the trash can, and at first, I thought nothing much about it. This could've been a prank, or a trick of the mind. Heck, this signal could possibly not even be for me! I was wrong.

The moment I arrived there, a large, but soft hand was pressed against my mouth and an arm was around my waist, pulling me back further behind the trash can, into a small corner. My eyes were wide with surprise, and I turned to see who it was that grabbed me. Itno, he was someone I didn't recognize. I didn't think he went to this high school. I knew everyone that went here, and I was pretty sure that I hadn't seen him around before. His dark green piercing eyes were staring into my eyes. I found this very uncomfortable and instead looked up and saw that he had messy, light brown hair. From what I could tell, he looked about seventeenish. My eyes darted back to his face and his face softened. The hand that was covering my mouth was now gone, but his arm was still on my waist. My breathing slowed, and I wondered if I should be frightened, or calm. I decided to be calm, since I didn't want him to think that I was afraid of him. "Be careful, Jess," he whispered and put his hand over my eyes to cover up my sight. Then, for some unknown reason, I blacked out.

A day later, I woke up in my bed, and was informed that I fainted and was brought back to my home. And another day passed, which leads me to today. I'm not sure what waits for me tomorrow (Monday), but I hope that whatever happens, it will not result my death.

♧D.I.Y IT UP SERIES #4♧

Hey chewers! Adeline here!
So today's D.I.Y is going to be D.I.Y BATH BOMBS!!! YAYY!

All it takes to make delicately scented tablets is a little mixing, some gradual spritzing, and a few minutes of molding. When you're finished you'll have dozens of effervescent treats in a variety of shapes and colors that will scent and soften bath water as they bubble. Stuff stockings with cellophane bags filled with stacks of the colorful blocks. They make great gifts for all the ladies on your list, including mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and grown-up nieces. Experiment with colors and scents; mix yellow and red to make orange, for example, and try blending lemon with lavender.

MATERIALS

  • Baking soda
  • Cornstarch
  • Citric acid
  • Spritzer bottles
  • Food coloring
  • Glass bowl
  • Essential oil
  • Baking molds

STEPS

  1. STEP 1

Sift 1 3/4 cup baking soda, 1 cup citric acid, and 2 cups cornstarch through a sieve to remove chunks. To make different tints, fill small spritzer bottles with water and add about 6 drops of food coloring to each.
  2. STEP 2

Pour 1 cup of powdered mixture into a glass bowl. Lightly spritz, stirring after each spritz, until powder is desired color. Add water slowly, so mixture does not fizz. If mixing two tints, alternate colors as you spritz. Check the consistency of powder with your fingers; when it can be tightly packed or shaped, stop spritzing (this may take a little while).
  3. STEP 3

Select an essential oil. Add 5 drops if it's one of the stronger scents (peppermint, lavender), 6 if it's a weaker one (lemon, grapefruit). Mix well. Firmly pack mixture into small baking molds. We used 1/4 cup for each fizzy, which is good for one bath. Allow mixture to set for 2 hours, then pop out carefully. Repeat with different tints for remaining powder.

HEY CHEWERS! ADELINE (RILEY) HERE! <333 So today is Pi Day!!! Whoo!
Exciting.
Anyway, I decided to go ahead and make a contest. I was in school today and couldn't stop thinking about the blog and cool ideas we can make for it. SO, I was incredibly clever and thought of Pi-Ku. BAHAHHA.
If you guys don't know what Haiku is, it's a type of poem poets write! So replacing Hai, we use Pi. BAHAHAHA.
Okay, so you must follow the guidelines listed in the amazing picture I edited and made, which btw, it took me so freaking long. SO. BE. HAPPY. OR. ELSE.
Anyway, copy and paste this template to paint or an editing program. Next, type the poem and place it on the lines given in the template. And finally, email the poem to lilyrileysunnymileyleilani321@gmail.com
We will receive all poems by SUNDAY AT 2:00 The staff will then decide on the winner and give them the special prize. The prize is a secret, so please no questions. ALSO, YOU MUST DO A POEM RELATED TO PIES, PI, OR MATH. Here's an example I made:

Pie is really best.
Cake can not ever compete.
Much like Adeline

Thanks for tuning in! Make sure to write a fabulous poem. YOU MAY NOT USE MY POEM AND REPLACE MY NAME WITH YOURS. THANK YOU.

♧School♧

♧Hey chewers! <3 Adeline (Pronounced like Adylenn)
Today I decided to share with you guys a post about school. So as some of you may know, I used to live in California, hence I was born there. But when I moved to Virginia, I was super happy to hear that I got my first day off of school because of snow! Although, to be fair, I once lived in Las Vegas and we got some heavy snow, but I started official grade school in Virginia. <3 So comment down below some of your favorite parts of moving, and some of your favorite parts about the snow days. This post is incredibly small because I already did a D.I.Y post this morning. I hope you guys understand and enjoyed this weeks' posts from the staff!!! ♧ I hope you have a fab morning, afternoon, or night, wherever you are in the world. <3 I'll see you next week with the Bath Bomb D.I.Y!

Also, thanks SOOO much for 8,000 VIEWS! <3 CRAYYYYYZAYYYYY! Let's get it to 10,000! I know we can do it!
